Flagger Force is hiring a Payroll Specialist to join its team of professionals dedicated to keeping communities moving.

The Payroll Assistant is responsible for the weekly field employee payroll process for the industry leader in traffic control safety.

As our Payroll Specialist, you will:

  • Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
  • Verify attendance, hours worked and pay adjustments, and post information in designated records
  • Compute wages and deductions and enter data into computer system
  • Record employee information, such as exemptions, promotions and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
  • Keep track of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for employees
  • Reconcile health benefit deductions on a weekly basis.
  • Work closely with branch offices to process payroll items requiring approvals, research and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Complete certified payrolls for prevailing wage projects
  • Track fringe benefits for field employees

 

Job Requirements

Must Haves:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field required
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office software systems
  • Exceptional verbal, written, analytical, and reasoning skills
