The Staff Accountant position is primarily responsible for all aspects of the daily and monthly business accounting processes including financial statement preparation, accounts payable and accounts receivable

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Primarily responsible for managing the fixed asset system
  • Enter all additions and disposals of fixed assets each month
  • Provide monthly depreciation amounts for all entities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements for all entities
  • Assist in the accounts payable process, including entering invoices and mailing out checks
  • Assist in the preparation for the year end audit
  • Perform audits of fixed assets as assigned
  • Manage bank reconciliations as assigned
  • Perform bookkeeping work, including creating invoices, posting payments, and creating journal entries
  • Resolve discrepancies in accounting records
  • Contact customers/vendors to obtain or relay account or payment information and resolve issues promptly
  • Assist in financial statement analysis
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

 

 

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field
  • 2 or more years of accounting related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software systems
  • Exceptional verbal, written, analytical and reasoning skills
